As on date no, Axar Patel is not ready. While his bowling is reasonably ok and likely to improve too but when it comes to batting he looks totally out of sorts and lacks confidence to play at the international. He has to go very long way and there are you7ngstaers who look more confident and talented than him.I was myself a great supporter of Axar when he joined the Indian side but over a yr or two he has been found woefully inadequate both with bat and ball, especially the bat.
I won't be surprised tomorrow if Hardik Patel pushes Axar Patel in the team like Dhoni is pushing his CSK Itch-guards trio Raina, Mohit Sharma and Sir Jaddu.

as if kohli does not or would not take them...he took raina in the test match against aus in aus when he was captain in case you forgot...forget taking them in shorter formats he will take them even in tests...
Biggest upset is Raina's non performance. He has been brilliant in fielding but failed to click in batting His lack of resistance to hit sixers from the first ball is damaging his interest and Team's interest. I think we should also give an opportunity like Gurkeet singh or even Manish pandey in his place
