You cannot expect the Captain to always lead from the front and carry the team over the finishing line as if his life would be depending on that alone.
In that case most captains will become criminals.
Virat Kohli also did not play well, he slowed down the scoring tempo, probably deliberately as he is jealous of MSD retaining his T20 & ODI captaincy. Why not speak about his failure as well ??
You cannot have a different yardstick to judge the captain or coach alone and leave out the other team members. All of them are equally responsible for failure or victory or even a draw.
very true azhar.dhoni might not be the same player that he was due to his age and the rigours of continuous cricker.but at least he did not fix matches and won 2 world cups
when u criticize some one repeatedly, the person becomes conscious and concentrate on the weak points but this lead him to get out focused from the strong points. plz don't criticize Dhoni, encourage him, he will show results....

Do they actually CARE for criticism? It has been more than a decade since Dhoni is playing, he cannot fall for such criticism if he has to survive.
In a game, the other team also plays to best of its abilities so its not fair to assume/wish that our team will always win. Dhoni is an outstanding cricketer and captain. Azhar has no right to comment as Dhoni is trying his best but Azhar .....
Azhar has no moral ground to comment on Dhoni. He may have failed to finish the match, but still capable to do so in future. What a captain do, if his best bowler is injured, seamers give 53 runs in last 3 overs and some team members, particularly, vice captain not performing whole heartedly and indulged in politics with the support of BCCI.

Not "best bowler" but "the only actual bowler on that day" L0L.
But this is not a new problem, batsmen are fine enough to score the extra 10-15 runs which the bowlers give away. Dont blame vice captain, even the captain is duly supported by BCCI.
