Cricket is a professional sport. Players get paid huge sums of money which is siphoned in different ways from the public. There has to be accountability. Winning and loosing is part of the game but the manner of fight given is the issue. Has any body seen the body language of players during the break? Least concerned. No other team shows such callousness while loosing so badly. Just show up yourself and get your pay check. Does Gavaskar speak on this. No, neither he nor any body connected with the game will Reason is obvious. He and all those who loosely say ban the stadium etc. are showing their misplaced arrogance. The game is what today because of its fans. Ban this stadium, stop aid to that state, other states, where are you leading? Dhoni rightly downplayed this during the press conference.
Ban all international matches at this venue. It is the only way to knock sense into the middle class crowds who come for silly autographs, cheap selfies and 0rga5ming when caught on camera. They have shamed India and dont deserve to watch cricket.

Why are you after Eden. Eden garden was also banned for ages after 1996 incident. Don't support Odiya crowd just becoz you are also Odiya
I COULD NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY GAVASKER IS BLAMING TO ORISSA CRICKET ASSOCIATION ? WHY BARABATI WILL BE BANNNED ? YES WE ADMIT SEPCTATOROS ARE SHOWED RUDE BEHAVIOUR WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTED IN CRICKET BUT WHY QUESTIONED IS ARISED BY GAVASKER TO BAN TO BARABATI. IT IS PERSONAL GRUGE NOTHING ELSE.ORISSA CRICKET ASSOCIATION HAS TAKEN ALL THE MEASURE FOR A GOOD CRICKETKING MATCH.BUT IT IS UNFORTUNATE THE INCIDENT HAS HAPPEND THAT DOES NOT MEAN TO BAN BARABATI.

i am not with gavaskar but after 1996 semi final eden gardens was banned for 5 years...
I would rather say why Mr Gavaskar is not looking at the miserable failure of the team. May i know how does he say cuttak should not be given international matches. why Mr Gavaskar is not talking of consistency?

There are so called coaches and team manager to dissect the performances. Dont use it as an excuse for the crowd's behaviour.

Though I do not support the crowds action , but then in that case we are human beings and we consider cricket as a festival, then why is there no action from the BCCI to improve the consistency of the teams performance. We win against the minnows every where in the world whatever be the conditions etc prevailing on the day of the matches but when we face an opponent who is stronger we collapse either in Batting, bowling or both and this has been happening since we started playing cricket in India. Have we ever won hands down against good opponents in any of the series either at home or away? How long can a cricket fanatic country should wait for the team to be consistent in the only sport we play here?

BCCI is not there to monitor the performances. What an idiotic way to analyze things Pallab!!

Who will monitor then, you? Coaches and team managers are also appointed by BCCI, but sorry whom I am explaining to, probably you know nothing about cricket.

Are coaches and team managers appointed to play badminton apart from analyzing performances? Please dont explain if it is a strain on your brain L0L.
Gavaskar has commented on the behavior of o spectator's saying that they have no rights to throw any items to fields. why this Gavsakar has not made any comments on corruption in BCCI and current politics in BCCi. may be this is due to just save his pension getting from BCCI. this is an value less comment he has made.
Cut his payment by 50%. It is nice to take credit if the team wins. What is his input? What about Gawaskar ? Let us not telecast Indian matches, so that there won't be any problem. BCCI President, Secretary, Director, Players from Mumabi, will have to take entire blame. Secretary is interested in throwing mud on others. What is his credentials ? Let him be honest.

he goes underground whenever this happens ... comes out after a week when things have settled and then says 'boys are doing well'.
