Is it start of night Test cricket or the begining of the end of conventional centuries old TEST cricket ?Not just in the recent Ind-SA series in India but even the ashes series most of the Test matches were over in 3 days. That is why perhaps all this gimmick of pink ball night cricket invention to prolong life of Test cricket. Is it not fact that currently the TEST matches are held with finances met through cross subsidy of revenues collected from one day cricket? How long it can go on like this ? Moreover players more tuned to playing shorter form of cricket have lost the appetite for 'defensive' cricketing shots meant for long stay in the crease. That is why it is time for reducing the Test matches duration to 4 days from 5 days.Longevity of Test cricket ? Max another 10 yrs.

five days is maximum time permitted to play test match sir however in golden old days test match was played till results are drawn or team has to pack up and board the boat for home now camera recording of mistakes in reply in tv replay is biggest tool in hands of any team to dismiss even Sachin
