India did very well to clinch the series against South Africa. Bowlers brought the win especially all the spinners. But a word of caution to the batsmen as they have not done well excepting few occasions in patches
I appreciate curators preparing pitches for home team's advantage which is done by all countries without exception. But offering an under prepared pitch for a Test match to play is a curse for both teams rather injustice to touring side which depends more on pace bowlers. BCCI should honour curator of Nagpur pitch for his patriotism. When ICC is doing its best to promote Test matches by making experiment such as day and night Tests etc our Board by its over enthusiasm to win is discouraging fans to watch Test not only on ground but also on TV. Genuine cricket lovers need five day Tests with competition not three day Tests. I pity Mohali & Nagpur fans for shelling out money to buy tickets for five days but have to be happy with three days of mayhem of cricket.

It is not the problem with the pitch, it is the problem with batsman's approach towards the game. With the advent of one day cricket, more results started coming out of test matches. With the advent of T20s, the test matches are becoming more of a three day affair. All this is because the batsmen's patience and concentration levels have fallen down drastically. Gone are the days when a 25 weeks continues run in cinema halls is called silver jublee hit, 50 weeks is called golden jublee hit and so on. Nowadays a 25 days continues run is called a silver jublee hit. Number of days has replaced number of weeks.Same thing is happening in cricket. Not only crickets even the spectators have lost patience to watch test cricket for 5 continuous days. This is bound to happen, soon test cricket will become three day affair officially and then might completely vanish.

The way pitch was doctored it speaks about the mentality of Indian captain and director.Win at any cost, game be damned and captain playing stooge to the director. What is there to celebrate for people, kinda rigged match knowing opponents weakness and pitch being under prepared.

You have omitted to include Mr. Amar Karlekar, the curator, reponsible for preparing the pitch.
