very true, besides being the best captain, dhoni also is the best wicket keeper india ever had...and also the best wicket keeper batsmen...you cannot argue with his stats...as a captain batsman and wicket keeper...

best WK batsman-yes but best WK-NO. have you seen the keeping of Kirmani and Engineer LIVE? I think no.

yes i have seen keeping of kirmani live...not engineer ...but his figures prove he is the best...look how many wickets kirmani and engineer have in how many tests and compare them with dhoni's no. of wickets in tests...even now he is 3rd or 4th in all time list of wicket keepers...

only gilchrist and boucher have taken more wickets behind the stumps in international cricket...
dhoni has played only 2 or 3 tests more than kirmani and taken close to 100 wickets more...

even compare how many wickets kirmani and engineer have taken in first class cricket and compare them with dhoni's no. of wicketse in first class cricket...dhoni beats them both hands down...

Statistic doesn\'t reflect actual ability. It is also saying Dhoni has taken half the wickets (stumping) in first class cricket and same numbers in test cricket (played 20 innings more) compared to Kirmani. During Engineer and Kirmani\'s time Gavaskar and Solkar used to open bowling in test crickets.

There are quite a few keeper batsman who are better than Saha but they do not have godfather which Saha has. Otherwise, Samson, Ojha or even Dinesh Karthik should have been in Indian Team as second keeper during Dhoni's time itself as his understudy.
