South Africa had 2.5 Days with almost 7 Sessions of Play - They had to Play the Ball on Merit and take the attack back to Indian spinners.
The quick dismissals of Faf Du Plessis, Hashim Amla & AB De Villiers cost them the 1st test.
They should have played the waiting game instead of going He11 for Leather and finish it today. They had 10 wickets with 2 days to play.
South African Batting looks thin without JP Duminy. South African Bowling looks thin without Morne Morkel.
Unless they put up a Stronger Test team and show the application and patience to play spin - Indians will take them for a ride and dish out such pitches regularly for the next 3 tests.

Because he is secular. They have the right to criticize everything about India
The Pitch was definitely bad.Sri Lanka prepared far better pitches during the recently concluded Indo- Sri Lanka Test Series. It had enough for the Fast Bowler, Spinner as well as the Batsmen. Lets learn from them.
It was a horrible pitch meant for victory of India. I am not happy with this kind of victory. I wish India defeat South Africa on a sporting pitch. I am ashamed that we beat a better side in an unprepared wicket.
I only wonder what would have been kohli's comments had India lost this match .. Personally I think such pitches are not doing good to test cricket ...
It was a tailor made pitch, keeping India's benefits in mind. Test match ends in 3 days, was made for India's advantage. We are playing bullock-cart cricket. We won't find such pitches when we play abroad. Our boys must learn to adapt to fast tracks. This is not cricket & our boys will never learn to play in fast conditions. Hence, we can't call ourselves World Champions if we can't play in Australia, New Zealand, S.A., England. Win in these countries & we'll feel we have a good cricket team.
The pitch did turn! No second thought about it. But the conditions are the same for both teams. The world's best team capitulated on this track. It indicates that they can't handle spinners, which is a fact.
If India gifts them a green track, where is the home advantage? Do proteas give a spinning track if you go to SA?
Having said that if Australia/Sri Lanka played on this very track it would have gone into 4th day for sure. Hashim talked about fast deteriorating wicket but Pujara and Kohli proved it otherwise on 2nd evening.

Australia had lost 4-0 to India last time they toured to India. Australian team has been as bad as Indian team when it comes to playing in overseas conditions. SA Bowlers did well in restricting indian batsmen to 201 and 215
