First of all he will need to Bat for India (He must always be In form), for his own glorification and records, to keep Selectors, critics and fans happy.
Second - No Indian Captain has ever Won a Test Series in Australia or South Africa - Which I believe Virat Kohli will also fai1 to do in the near future.
Third - He needs to ensure Indian team does not lose inside India - Like how England beat us recently.
Fourth - He will have to carry the Burden of expectations of The Entire Indian public and perform with constant Media scrutiny and personal attacks from everywhere.
Fifth - It is never an easy job to replace MSD who had been good with the Bat, as a wicketkeeper and also a good politician in India's cricketing ranks. MSD was atleast diplomatic whereas Virat is more direct and in the face with an attitude that is difficult to manage.

Re: KOHLI TOO SHOULD PROVE EQUALLY SUCCESSFUL CAPTAIN

(contd.)..rut of late which was the cause of his downfall. Virat’s man management too is very open and transparent with flexible approach having no strong likes or dislikes Dhoni could be faulted with. It remains to be seen if it changes with time. As things looks now Kohli should be equally successful captain as Dhoni if not better.
