I really fail to understand why the Indian ex-cricketers keep pushing for Ind-Pak series when majority of Indians are not in favor of it. We have been playing cricket all along except for a short gap between 2008 and 2012 and after 2012 till date. In what way cricket helped reduce tension or mistrust between the two countries the way Pak keeps on reviving terror activities against India after a brief lull? Before 2008 Pak cricketers were wined and dined with red carpet reception all over the country only to be rewarded with Mumbai attack killing 200 people not to talk of other major bomb blasts in various towns through sleeper cells trained in Pak training camps.Not only that no action has been taken by Pak against 2008 perpetrators but even to-day they keep denying presence of Dawood in Karachi! How can such duplicity be accepted? Besides, Indian jawans keep dying at borders in ceasefire violations for the entire yr. Terror training camps of Let jihadis infiltration into Kashmir in POK will continuing for eternity in spite of unending unproductive dialogues..talks…talks ..! Besides, is there any doubt that many of these VVIPs --cricketers,artists etc. are indeed in the payrolls of ISI and uses their stay in India to ferment trouble in India through sleeper cells ? (contd.)..So first thing first-- resolve Kashmir, stop export of terror , establish mutual trusts and then play cricket or for conduct concerts of Pak artists in India.
