Same reason
by Zeng on Nov 03, 2015 08:34 AM

Same reason as we win 1 medal in Olympics when a similar sized china win 100 and 1/4th sized (population) US win 75. Also the same reason why countries that can not be spotted in the map beat us in Football. Countries with 1/10 th of population of CUlcutta will humiliate India.

Bottom line is, we Indians are the least sporty and fit people on Earth. We can do some batting, as it requires mostly technique, timing and hand eye coordination and physical power is not that much important.

We can't bowl fast and we can't spin the ball. Even our best spinners could not spin the ball.

We are weak, and meak too. Since sseeekks is the only sport Indian men can do, we have the numbers on our side and we can buy players and play IPL. Lets enjoy what we have and forget everything else.

I think we rely more on natural talent but do not train them mentally, physically and professionally for exelence.

Superb Article

too nicely analysed. we are not the doers and achievers, so we are the losing side. our cricket board is exactly not focusing on what to do to bring in talent and win more matches. next they are very much reluctant to make fast pitches in India and train the budding cricketers. so many cricket clubs exist throughout the country and more are being set up by the retired cricketers but no targets are there to make fast pitches and produce competent cricketers like Australia.

'Good enough' is more important than excellence to us
by DrYaako TikaNovva on Nov 02, 2015 05:48 PM

Very correct wordings! I still remember how seniors were solely blamed for whitewashes (still I agree that they were to be mainly held responsible, but not solely). After they left and India could still not win in SA, NZ and Aus people were still claiming that it was "better" than the "seniors"..

Oh, I forgot. The captain should not be questioned when India loses.

Mr. Patel's article
by Subash on Nov 02, 2015 02:42 PM

The problem is mainly with players. Every single player in the national team plays for his personal glory. Can you rely on a single player to perform consistently in a series ? A batsman scores a century and after that he does not care or starts relaxing thinking he has made sure of his place for next few matches. If you look at statistics , you will find many batsmen get out soon after scoring a century. Very few go on to dominate the innings by playing a prolonged innings. Once that batsman, who has scored a century, gets out , batting collapses. Having settled down and seen enough of the bowling to score , the batsman should concentrate more and prolong his innings possible for the sake of the team. That's what the batsmen in the other teams like Australia do. Only indian batsmen talk about being ready to bat in any place in the batting order. The aim is to get into the team, not specialize in anything. Team can not rely on anybody because everybody is playing for his personal glory. BCCI is "law unto themselves ". Why should they be exempted from the normal laws of the land?
