Some most important things which set as apart from other dominating teams like Ausies, SA, ENG etc. are:-

1) Lack of a thorough professional mind-set.
2) Lack of seriousness or dedication towards
job
3) Very casual approach, or chaltaa hai kind
of attitude.
4) Lack of strong temperament, a never say
die attitude, lack of fighting spirit.
5) Over dependency on few players, lack of
teamwork.
6) Egos'& personal aspirations are more
important for us than teams performances.
We are more concerned about if XYZ scored
record or century or not rather than our
win or loss.
7) Groupism and partitions in the team.
Selector's & captains biased approach while
selecting the team and captains politics
while selecting only his favourite players
and ditching the deserved ones.
8) Lack of physical fitness, athletism,
quickness and to remove laziness.
9) Most importantly OUR LACK OF STRONG
APETTITE TO SUCCEED,TO WIN IRRESPECTIVE OF
THE SITUATION, TO BECOME CHAMPION.

Dominating cricket
by Sam Thiyagarajan on Nov 03, 2015 09:18 AM  | Hide replies

Aakar has come to cricket at last. He can never write anything positive. His jaundiced eyes see only negative things. He himself admits that WI were once dominating and OZ were ruling after that for some time. So it is clear that no team is able to dominate eterenally. India has produced Kapil and Gavaskar who held the world bowling and batting records at the same time. The cricketing world stood up and took note when we dethroned the mighty and seemingly invincible WI at their very peak, in the WC 83. We have won the inagural T20 and won the WC once more. We have been World no.1 in tests and in ODIs. We were the only team who consistently beating the OZ at Australia when they were at their peak. Our own Kumble is 3rd in all time great bowlers and Sachin is way and streets ahead of other batsmen in the world. We have produced great fielders like Abid Ali, Solkar, Venkatrahavan, Raina and now Rahane and others only to saay a few. Even in the recent ODI series we were level after four matches coming from behind to level the series twice. Only in the final ODI we were outplayed thoroughly by some great generosity by the curator. No one team can ever dominate any sport today and the fall of South American countries from the foorball pedestal is an example; the end of dominance of scandinavian countries in TT and the eclipse of OZ and US in tennis are apt examples. I think the problem lies in AAKAR's negative mindset. None of his articles are positive. He is a specialist negative
