BCCI still undecided on Ganguly's appointment for India coaching job

Ganguly had great cricketing vision to recognize talents. Shewag,Yuvi,zaheer.Harbhajan,Even Dhoni came up and blossomed under his captaincy.Much of Dhoni's earlier success were due to the team built by Ganguly. E.g. 20007 WC 2011 etc. Tell me how many top quality cricketers have come up under Dhoni's captaincy who can perform at foreign pitches. Dhoni as a captain is reluctant to give chances to young talented players and keep playing his favourites like jadeja,Raina,Aswin instead of their repeated failure..Dhoni has the second worst away test record as a captain..Still some people like you favors him. Re: hi by Sunil Vaidya on May 25, 2015 05:55 PM it is clear that ganguly has captained india in almost double the no. of tests against other countries than he has against eng sa and aus ganguly captained in 10 tests against eng sa and aus 18 against other countries.... dhoni on the contrary has captained india in almost double the no. of tests against sa eng and aus than he has captained against other countries... dhoni has captained india in 19 tests against eng aus and sa and in 11 tests against other countries... no prizes for guessing how good dhoni's away test record would have been if like ganguly he had captained in 28 away tests 10 against eng aus and sa and 18 against other countries... similarly no prizes for guessing how bad ganguly's away test record would have been if like dhoni he had to captin india in 30 away tests out of which 19 would be against sa eng and aus and 11 against other countries...    Forward   |   Report abuse
