Thank goodness no Indian featured in the World XI. We are used to a lot hype and if anyone from the Indian XI was chosen, that would have only increased the endorsement fees for our cricketers..double or treble the actual crores they are making out of endorsements. The MRF ad, which asks a person to come back within 5 minutes, was the best one, because the cricketer-model did keep up his promise of coming back in 5 mins.....didn't he? Other ads are mediocre, but MRF takes the cake! Let these guys concentrate on local matches like ranji, irani, duleep, and other trophies instead of dreaming too big and wanting to sit on top of the globe for nothing.....Let us see how the public react to another circus called IPL shortly........full-frenzy madness!
on what basis McCullum has been named as captain. There were only two good teams Sri Lanka and Australia.England were anyway useless. They struggled to beat Australia chasing 150 and it was sheer good fortune they beat South Africa in sf. Then,in the fianl he was clueless how to approach the game. Surely Clarke was a better captain.
It was really satisfying to see the ICC World cup team.If you have to chose between Sangakara and Dhoni, Sangakara is the obvious choice in this World Cup.Virat Kohli is a very mediocre batsman and does not deserve any place in the team when we have Steve Smith at No 3.Md Shami or Umesh Yadav has performed well but their vulnerability under pressure has put them off the list.Rest from the Indian side simply dont qualify except for Aswin who has been pipped out by Vettori.
Its time Virat marry Anushka and settle into Bollywood. May be with her influence or glamour he can act in one of two films before he gets duck there as well.
Based on performance it is apt that no Indian's were chosen. Right decision by the panel. Indian players should have played to their through potential. More than Dhoni & Virat, Shikar Dawan had a chance for Batsmen and Shami for blower, but other country batsmen and blower performed much better hence they are selected based on current performance. Indian player are very good and are talented, but should perform on field and not in paper and advertisements
