New Zealand's unfounded glory

I am amazed to see, how the legends like Richard Hadlee found materials in New Zealand consecutive wins on home turf. He should have known the Guptill, Brendon Mcullum etc are just home tigers on small New Zealnad grounds. When they play against bigger team outside their home country, they are no better than Zimbabwe or Bangladesh. The last time they entered into semis were in 1992 , that too on home turf. I am sure, if the tournament were played in the sub-continent , they could hardly reach the knock out stage. Even Richard Hadlee himself was a home performer. Let them bask in the glory of reaching the finals, a feat that they did not deserve at all. A South Africa Australia Final would have been the most competitive. But, chokers they are, how the Proteas will dream of reaching Final

I think you haven't followed World Cup Cricket after 1992. Please check the history.

2011 World Cup Semi Final: New Zealand lost to Sri Lanka
2007 World Cup Semi Final: New Zealand lost to Sri Lanka
1999 World Cup Semi Final: New Zealand lost Pakistan

Hence, your statement that NZ entered the semis last time in 1992 is not correct

New Zealand has to be more patient instead of emotions play cricket with more skills as IPL skills are no longer useful after 2011 WC it is proved by Australians as they planned well
