GOOD YOUNG SIDE NEEDING INDUCTION OF ALLROUNDERS..
by damodaran mohan on Mar 30, 2015 07:49 PM

(contd.)While losing Toss and score board pressure were certainly factors but w/o the star batsman Virat Kohli coming good in ko stages India’s chances were going to be slim anyway. After the journalist row distraction it was not just the low scores but the way Virat was playing w/o any application not taking responsibility was a sufficient indicator of things to come. Rohit has never been a dependable player. Rahane is young and inexperienced lacking consistency. Shikhar Dhawan was always error prone early in the innings mostly surviving on one or two lives.Raina is on the decline now. Jadeja was virtually a zero in batting and Dhoni too on the decline as a finisher although his captaincy is fine.Evidently with these limitations India just couldn't cross the Aus hurdle. So now what next ? The onus now will be on Virat Kohli to come out of the WC failure and get back to his original form.As far as the Indian side is concerned it is a promising side but still some young fresh faces have to be inducted starting with good pacer or spin all-rounder as also good batsmen in the opening slot and middle order. Bowling we can build on the existing strengths.

Match was fixed...

If you see ball to ball you will find something abnormal. The top order insensitive batting, dhoni run out & last 2 overs balling by Indian Team. SA lost but they given 100% but Indians were pathetic on particular day.

Instead of accusing the team congratulate the team India for a far better show in the world cup.No one thought that they would reach Semis after watching them play the tests and tri series. No wonder we are bad loosers dis owning our own team

Seriously disagree with you Mallajosyula!! If you have been observing the boards, many of us have been telling that the format has been such that India, SA, Aus, NZ were the favorites in the semis.

Yeah I was wondering how SA missed two easy rumours and a simple catch. Fixed by NZ. Agreed.

At the end of the day Indian Criketers are back home and they should be left alone .
If anyone is to be blamed for this poor show thwn its the BCCI and the faulty system .
Cricket or any other sport in India does not have the infrastructure and training facilities to counter world standard .
Undernourisment , undeeducation and scores of other Human Development Indexes show that India is way behind the world standard .
So why blame the Team India when come back home !

Good point. Team India is very poorly trained. Underpaid. Undernourished. And not enough money and infrastructure put into cricket.
Similar problems hound Brazil in Football and China in Gymnastics, Swimming and Table Tennis.
