technically speaking target was revised due to Duckworth Luis rule 281 runs south Africa made so 282 should have been the target but D/L target was raised to 298 that means the new Zealander had to score 298-282=16 odd runs more due to D/L rules so technically new Zealand won when they passed score of 282 virtually

Rain is south africa biggest hurdle. I was having a discussion with an philanthropist who said South Africa is cursed nation means almighty curse on them since pre Nelson Mandela era there were lots of fight between white and black and lot of injustice happened to black people.

But Nelson Mandela and Lee Kuan Yew don't appear everytime... Once in lifetime

That sums it
by shailesh on Mar 24, 2015 05:55 PM

"And then de Villiers threw away a gilt-edged chance to finish the game off. Elliott pushed to point, Anderson and was hopelessly lost in mid-pitch when he was sent back. The throw came in on the half volley; the Proteas captain had all the time to collect and take the bails off but in his eagerness, he snatched at the ball, missed, and broke the stumps with empty hands."

The above sums how SA lost it. All that he was required was to collect the ball and ruffle the bails... but he was always ahead of himself... thinking about the next step, about winning about glory for team or nation.... and not living in the present.

Winning and loosing are parts and parcel of the game. You play to win of course, but you have to enjoy the game in the moment and think about the next bowl to bowl, not the over, not what's going to happen after the over.

Steyn bowling that over - poor over - what's that got to do with skill - however much skilled he is??

Its about living in the here and now - just being present. The power of now is living this life in now, which comes only one moment at a time.

mistakes too many
by Sivasubramanian Venkatraman on Mar 24, 2015 05:48 PM

I think there was mistake too many from both sides. Taylor has been a spoiler both against Bangladesh and Today. The two teams are supposed to be great fielding units but still there were so many bloopers. It is Shakespeare play comedy of errors. Despite all the above it was THE ENTERTAINMENT

A Tense Semi
by Raman Krishnaswamy on Mar 24, 2015 05:07 PM

The general opinion of Cricket commentators was that if Guptill fails the Kiwis would be in a disadvantage. This was proved wrong. Any way it was good Semi final which kept the viewers on their toes till the second last ball. I am happy for the faithfuls who were seen deep in prayer in the last few overs
