There are a lot of former critics who have been screaming about poor performances who said India will be severely tested by PAK,SAF,WI,ZIM,and even giant slayers IRE,come the World Cup.Now after the emphatic qualification to the semis they say the aussie test is real.As an avid cricket lover who felt very bad at the earlier losses on tours,i find that there is a certain positive direction this TEAM is taking, and more than a bit of applause is needed now.May at the end of this world cup some of those critics may even murmur that the real Test of this TEAM is in 2016 Tournament. My view is this is a severely tested and tried upgraded version of 2011,perhaps a lesser glossy but with better glory

Some changes should be in bating lineup
by france ray on Mar 22, 2015 02:03 PM

Playing with Australia will be little hard but, even india have won his seven matches with margins no changes should be in team but i think batting lineup need some changes like. jadeja in place of rahane against Aus. and there will be no place of any mistakes like drop caches & misfield, overall India is winner of World Cup.

My suggestions
by Karthik Koushik on Mar 22, 2015 02:13 AM  | Hide replies

Shikhar Dhawan shall not be the opener against Australia, since his shortcomings / weaknesses are already exposed to Australian pace attack.
Rohit Sharma shall open the batting order along with Ajinkya Rahane.First Rohit sharma and then Virat Kohli shall take batting tips from V.V.S. Lakshman and Dravid and to play their natural, sheet anchors' role rather than going for an attacking roles.Ajinkya, Dhoni, Jadeja, Suresh raina shall go ahead with their fast paced run making.Stuart Binny shall be opted to increase the depth of batting order.Ashwin may be prefferable over Jadeja, if 3 specialist pacers are needed, with a lone specialist spinner. Ambati Rayudu is not yet tried.

If Ravindra Jadeja is inevitable to be in the squad, he shall be tried as a PINCH HITTER(if India wins the toss and elects to bat first)and shall open the batting order along with Rohit in sheet anchor's role, keeping left & Right batting orders without disturbing.Shikhar to come next and Rahane to come next.Virat shall enter incase of Rohit's dismissal early and to continue in sheet anchor's role. It will ensure a respectable minimum total to defend. brittle MIddle order batting shall not be exposed early to pace attack.

If they made proper bouncy track ,Srelanka pak India bangladesh never make quater final entry.. here everything goes Indian favor.. if match not fixed by BCCI, ther is no chance, but I believe cricket still alive because Indians.. they must consider the fact.. that is what happening here..

If IND play when they played with PAK & SA in the opening matches (where IND intensity/go for kill attitude was high), they definitely win against AUS also...otherwise..but let's be positive... to defend the CUP..

If match not fixed by BCCI(90% cricket fan from india) Indians chances are 2% ,wiat and see, I don't think India even 2% compare to them, England beaten by great bangladesh, how? don't know.. India should win then only Cricket will success, India vs England quarter? 90% England .. but.. why this drama??

Kareem Boss, If Match is fixed then why australians lost against Newzeland and how did australia win 4 world cups in total, U must definitely be a pakistani fan or Bangladesi fan. If Bangladesh can beat england does that mean they should beat india, then ireland won against west indies why couldn't they beat pakistan, that's why the england vs bangladesh match was termed as upset, if the match is fixed then pakistan should have played india as in india only 90% are cricket fans however in pakistan is 100% cricket following nation and crazy about it.
Please use your brain before making any useless comments.

If not fixed by BCCI, indians chances are 2%.. no doubt.. but BCCI can get bangladesh in quarter, may newziland in final.. money is the matter.. Indians cannot participate main stream games, they must follow Criket the only one game Sreelanka Bangladesh, Pak such a great sports nation can lift world cup.. even Dhoni is considering as a best ODI cricketer.. what a sports?? HWat a BCCI? I like Pak team than BCCI team..

simple game plan
by Dhantannan on Mar 21, 2015 10:16 PM

1. if toss win,bats first, score 280-300
2.dont bowl short, the track is slow.
3. spinners have important role
4. none of batsmen shall throw wicket to rash shot.
5. play 50 over at any cost
6. dont drop catches, miss run outs or stumping.
7. dont focus on short stuff, the track is slow, if not accurate,we'll be hit.
8. dont get bogged down (rahane) by occassion, play positively.
9.as batsmen be alert to runouts due to their fielding, cut down risky singles,
10.last but not least, We can do it,now or never attitude.
