INDIA LOOKS BETTER SIDE THAN AUS ON PERFORMANCES SO FAR
by damodaran mohan on Mar 21, 2015 04:52 PM  | Hide replies

Trounce is not the right word as the match was much closer than the scores suggest. But for the missed catches it could as well have been a Ind-Pak semis !Wahab Riyaz bowled the best spell of the tournament and it was really sad to see him bow out in spite of brilliant bowling during the entire WC. It is time for the Pakistanis to understand that individual brilliance is not enough to win the WC in a team game like cricket and that entire administration needs to measure up to the task. Coming to Aussie there was nothing champion like in their game and should consider themselves lucky to enter the semis. Even during group matches they looked rusty. There was nothing special or spectacular about the feared Aus pace bowling attack they are generally known for. Indian batting can handle it w/o much of a problem. In fact the Indian pace bowling attack looks much more accurate and penetrative. Besides the newish looking nagging spin attack of Ashwin and Jadeja could stifle the Aussies in the middle overs. If only Ashwin can bowl with guile and courage w/o going defensive for catches in the deep then likes of Glenn Maxwell could head for pavilion soon sweeping forward or reverse! Fact of the matter is the Aus batting comes nowhere near its past glory and except for Steve Smith the rest of the Aus batting lacks the stamp of dependability. While the result of the Aus –Ind semis will largely depend on factors such as toss, day’s performance, handling pressure etc.

Pakistan lost to Australia.
by Damodar Biswal on Mar 20, 2015 06:06 PM  | Hide replies

The Pakistanis may forgive their cricket players for their loss against Australia. But would have never have forgiven the players had they lost the match against India. We have seen the reaction of the people after their team's loss against India in their first match. That is one of the most important reasons for which Pakistn surrendered before Australia. This is not sports men's spirit.

What an inspired spell ! But littered by lethargic fielding, dropping catches and poor captaincy.

PAKISTAN LOSS TODAY
by sunil rebello on Mar 20, 2015 05:20 PM  | Hide replies

did any one analyze, that Pakistan lost today only because they did not want to loose again to INDIA in the WC 2015. One loss is enough in WC2015
