Rohit

The Indian team selectors should drop Rohit from the remaining two matches in this world cup. Logic: As he has scored century in this game, he will contribute to the team only after another 10 or 15 games.

Rohit's timely return to form
by soumyen sarkar on Mar 19, 2015 10:01 PM

It is nice to see the Indian opener Rohit Sharma, striking form when it was most required. The test series belonged to Virat. The Tri-series belong to none. In the world cup, more or less everyone was contributing serially. Now it was Rohit's turn. Bangladesh are still minnows in international cricket. So this performance of Rohit today is not an absolute assurance of his coming out of run-drought. But, the promise is fine. Shikhar is as erratic as ever. He likes to alternate position of hero to zero so frequently like AC current. Ajinkya Rahane is yet to decide about his role in the batting. The next game is against Australia. The highest level of mental toughness is required to beat them. The bowlers are doing their duty. But the fifth bowler slot is still haunting the team. Ravindra Jadeja is doing absolutely nothing except showing elation at the fall of of any rival wicket. Neither his batting , not his bowling is coming to the teams use. Such a player is a complete burden for the team. Hence I feel, a specialist fifth bowler will be much better than this bits and pieces player.

Virat should do a Rohit
by Mike Teflon on Mar 19, 2015 09:34 PM

Virat got out most times than none chasing a wide delivery. The above picture of Rohit putting a wide delivery to sword with bent knee and high elbow is a masterpiece.

I think virat can emulate Rohit if he wants to play that shot. This shot is a trademark of Kumara Sangakkara..
