Utter useless selection! DK who's the second highest scorer with 884 runs aggregate and 55 runs average isn't considered to play for RoI while, Unmukt with a season average of 37 and who stands 39 with 562 runs aggregate in the batters' list and Naman Ojha with 557 runs tally and in 47th place, Jiwanjot Singh with a season tally of 356 runs at an average of 23 runs and Kedar Jhadhav who had a poor Ranji season this time with a 30 run average are playing Irani trophy. To top it all, Manoj Tiwari with a season's aggregate of 349 runs @ an average of 26 is rewarded with captaincy. Thanks to Dalmiya's insistence. Pragyan Ojha with mere 8 wickets this season giving away 57.5 runs liberally for every wicket is playing while spinners with better returns this season like, Purkayastha and Malolan each with a tally of 36 wickets each are ignored. That's Indian cricket! Who cares for merit here??? Btb, do not be overawed by Aaron's performance as he used to breakdown after every decent performance and is never consistent.

DK got so many chances and he flopped. So did Robin Utappa. On one side we need lot of freshers for future on other side we need experienced players. Its stil better to give chance to new players.
