Sachin did not get a Longer Captaincy tenure, because as it is we Indians will forever remember him as a poor captain than a Great batsman.
He would have done immense damage to Team India's reputation by losing more matches and would have definitely had another World Record against his name - The Captain with the Most Number of Losses than wins in Tests and ODI's respectively.
tendulakar is bluffing...he knew he is not captaincy material..he ran away from captaincy because of that...he informed selectors not to consider him for captaincy...
