He is also worst Test Captain
by pradeep agarwal on Mar 31, 2015 08:44 PM  | Hide replies

He was never in 5 day mode & should have been given only shorter format while test team should have gone to Sehwag.
He destroyed 5 day team for his personal glory & reduced India to the status of minnows.

Yes thats true and he needs to cut down his ego recall Gambhir and YUVRAJ LEAST So that we dont get embarressed as Ausies made meat of us. We could not beat them in 4 months, thats the real pic rather than defeating mediocre teams in World cup.

the corruption due to hate has reached such epic proportions that they have lost all consistency in their posts....

once that person claims that he was a die-hard dhoni fan but if he was a die-hard fan how come he died-so-easily?:(

this person claims that he fought for dhoni after 4-0 4-0 in 2011...which means he was dhoni fan till then and lost faith in him only at some point after those series...(because of dhoni's team selection he says)....

and now that same person claims in one of his recent posts that dhoni claimed credit for winning world cup 2011! (that is supposedly the time when he was a die-hard dhoni fan! (this event preceded the 2011 tours after which he supposedly was still dhoni fan and tried to defend in various forums!

DHONI monopoly in all three formats of game is no longer there he has to give time for family also need not play t20 also he is master of f50 so he has to restrict to f50 only as t20 also will give him less time as time is money for him as he has to spare more time for new born baby girl may be not immediately but as child grows only mother's care is not sufficient child needs father's affection care also so say no to test t20 for MSD?

That is notthe pointof my post....his retirement from tests washis personal decision...i have no problems with that...if he decides to retire even now from odis and t20s that would be his personal choice and i would not mind that even though i will miss him on the field...

I am a big fan of him but that does not mean i would not respect hischoice if he decides to retire even at this moment,,he has given me a lot of joy and i will cherish those moments when i saw him on the cricketfield...

some people here are so corrupted due to hate that they try to deceive others and themselves...:(

these people try to claim they are fair and like good cricket....but they only have selective memory....they remember only good performances of other teams and have amnesia their bad performances while remembering only bad performance of home country and having amnesia about their good peroramnces

Bogus personal glorification
by soumyen sarkar on Mar 29, 2015 09:16 PM

I think , the essay has been posted here to collect more endorsement for Dhoni, whi is yet to get the black stigma of possible unholy things concerning the CSK. And being the yesman of the corrupt cricket boss, N. Srinivas, he found such a long stint. He was fore agile in warding off the volley of questions regarding his retirement. He knows, he is now in a new era where Srinivas does not matter. He is not an automatic choice as a player in the team. How come he will draw respect from his co-players? If Michael Clarke is considered as a liability, why not Dhoni?

Enough of Cricket ? Focus on other sports also ! Wake-up Rediff !
by Vijay K on Mar 27, 2015 04:38 PM

Our Media is equally responsible for the cricket hype. They occasionally regret lack of focus and support to other sports but very rarely give adequate support to sports other than cricket.

Look at the recent media coverage of cricket. In spite of semi final loss and exit from world cup, media is still filled with cricket and only cricket.

Look around what is happening. World Badminton Super Series is being played in New Delhi. It is a prestigious event organised in India. Many international stars have descended in Delhi. Indian Stars are also doing well in the tournament. But there is hardly any mention about it in media.

Common Rediff wake-up !!!

Manohar Rao
Dhoni
by Manohar Rao on Mar 10, 2015 04:54 PM  | Hide replies

May be he is less talented than the other great captiains from India but his achievements are far greater than others.Dhoni mostly captained a young and inexperienced team.Despite such handicap he used his resources well and besides he also keeps the wickets which is physically and mentally more demanding.
Whatever the critics might say, I think Dhoni has good man management skills, can chalk out strategies and keeps his cool intense situations. He is the greatest ODI captain of not only India but also other cricket playing nations add to that he is a good wicketkeeper and greatest finisher.
