That's good news for India
by Mike Teflon on Mar 03, 2015 08:42 PM  | Hide replies

Mohd. Shami getting back into the team is good news. He combined well with Umesh so far.. Mohit a good change bowler.

Unfortunate for Bhuvanesh Kumar, but he doesn't have the pace to trouble the batsmen down under..

One more strong pace bowling option could have given India a definite edge. Strongly miss Ishant here.. Dhawal Kulkarni is a poor replacement..

Yes,Bhuvi's speed and bowling style is suitable only in England or New Zealand. When India plays in New Zealand, I would prefer Bhuvi in place of Yadav or Shami.

I'd rather bring in Bhuvi in place of Jaddu..

Do we need two spinners in Kiwi land.. let me know..

Saer,in Kiwin land we will be playing two weak teams,so doesn't really matter who is playing. For Ireland,I strongly suggest two spinners.

Fair enough..

What if we are to play a much better team in NZ, say against kiwis or OZ in semis. A smart swing bowler like Bhuvan, is still better than an off-color Jaddu..

Btw, I never had those lesser teams in my mind when I made that observation..

Correct me, if I'm wrong. Always welcome healthy discussion.. thanks..

Saer,I know Jaddu is off colour. Still I would prefer Axar Patel and go with two spinners against nz,Aus and sa.They are all weak against spinners.Four Indian seamers of military medium speed is too much against any team.
BTW,I have a wish, one day to meet up with you for a quarter,he he he he.

saer, I appreciate your perspective on bowling composition.

With regard to other aspect, saer, i gulp oceans, when I get into the ring. I've no problem, if you can handle it..
