dhoni\'s outbursts are unwarranted.basically the indian odi team\'s IQ/strategy is ordinary. These days teams score around 400 runs especially with brisk scoring in the middle overs as seen in the eng. vs nzd series.BD\'s strategy was much much better. for the past few years dhoni has been scoring runs for himself and for his record. suresh raina\'s 38 in 21 balls,binny\'s 17 runs in 11 balls, patels 10 runs in 5 balls WERE TEAM RUNS and if these had not scored quickly ,india would have lost the 3rd. match as well BRIJA AUTHOR OF WEIGHTED AVERAGES
Why is he taking dig on pacers?ODI is not the format for sheer pace.Yadav will be wasted if asked to reduce the pace.Let him play only test cricket & protected by a captain willing to nurture pacer & not a politician who waits to punish those who are not in his good books. He can't now decide the fate of Indian bowling after failing so miserably as test captain.

Rightly said. Dhoni is never good building a future team..
A good fast bowler needs a good fast bowling coach. Only a bowler who knows the in and out of fast bowling should coach our young bowlers because that is also an art and not every knows about the art, specially in India. Ideally the best player who can coach Umesh and Varun is Zaheer Khan or Srinath as they atleast tried to be fast and effective too.

Can he name one pacer that was nurtured under his leadership? He lacks the understanding of 5 day format & but for his corrupt mentor in Board & stooges in commentary box should have been shown gate long time back.
yadav and aaron are fast no doubt but most of the time they bowl without any direction and give away plenty of runs...
that shows that speed is not everything...we may not have had many fast bowlers so far but we saw plenty of success even with medium pacers who bowled accurately...without any fast bowlers we became no 1 in tests odis and t20...won 2 wcs...all icc trophies...
thats why i have always said here dont get impressed by speed alone...line and length also matter...

Sunil,You can find in dozens tose who bowl in 130 km speed range. It is rare to find those who can deliver 140 plus consistently.Dhoni is a master in taking revenge on those who refuses to toe his line.It is sheer pace that works world wide & job of bowling coach is to work on the line of such bowlers.
Umesh Yadav is perhaps too tired to concentrate on his line and length, his bowling was atrocious with the bumbers going above the wicket keeper's head for four.Abati Raydu showed promise that he could be a good all rounder with his controlled spin bowling and batting
Just listen to what Kohli had to say before the last ODI. Its clear why MSD retired from Test cricket in the midst of Aus tour. The main reason for the debacle of the team is sheer politics; no passion for the game/nation and unaccountability. There is a lot going on and that badly affects the team. Many of the players were found underperforming, purposely, for reasons best known to them and that causes the debacle. It is high time such people are kept away from the team for good of the game/country.
