IT'S SHAME!!!
by tejas on Jun 24, 2015 11:39 AM

Whatever experts say about Bangladesh that their bowling was great, they played outstandingly, the real reason is Indian team played very badly and gave their bowlers unnecessary respect they starve their natural batting style and batted over cautiously. Same is true with Indian bowlers they bowled
without aggression. It's a real shame that we have to save our face against Bangladesh. had it been Australia or South Africa it's different story. Is Indian cricket going the way our Indian hockey is going? once we used to beat any team in the world ( exception- Australia, Holland, Spain, Germany)
now any minnows team can beat India in hockey(e.g. Argentina, England, New Zealand etc.)are we going the same way in cricket, that anybody can beat us? and we will keep praising that they played better than us? Except that new bowler Rahman , there was nothing new in Bangladesh side. In case of Rahman too, haven't we faced the bowler like him in the past? There were many such Bowlers from
Pakistan before. In case of Nassir Hossain did he have any mystery ball or something alien that Indian batsmen could not score run a ball against him?. So, it's more a preoccupied mind-set or fear of losing that costs them series than Bangladesh's supremacy or heroic.

Vijay

We should have tried with Vijay to open and rest Rohit (he is a non-performer at any level; scores one 50 and for next 10/15 games 0s, and therefore, very inconsistent) Kohli must be told to shoulder the responsibility (batting) for which he is in the team... no consistency in his batting as well and this people have been experiencing ever since the Aus tour/WC... Just because of his inconsistency, along with inconsistency of Rohit, we lost the WC match. So far as Jadeja is concerned, he is not to be considered an all-rounder. On helping wickets, though he contains the batsmen, hardly gets wickets...so, he can also be rested. The bowlers must be told to stick to basics else let them learn and concentrate on batting so that at least some runs shall be put on the board. While batting, the players from number one to eleven must have a target of scoring at least 30 runs a piece with one or two of them staying at the wicket and building a long innings... unless the team has some plan like this, we are not going to achieve any consistency ... from the present scenario, we feel that the entire management is in disarray with no accountability at all.

Magic wand
by Orient Mystique on Jun 24, 2015 10:48 AM

There is the story of an old man who got a magic wand which will give him whatever he wanted, with the rider that all others will get twice what he gets. The story goes that he asked for his one eye to be blinded and a half size well in front of his house. His intention is clear as a crystal to the readers / listeners of the story.

Quite a few players in the current Indian team are just like this old man.

I pity the times we live in where self respect, respect for fellow beings, team spirit, patriotism, self denial and self effacing for a higher cause etc. are not just at a premium but perhaps just about non existent.

East or west, North or South, M.Vijay is the best!
by K Ram on Jun 23, 2015 10:56 PM  | Hide replies

M. Vijay is a far better option to open the batting in all formats of the game. Had he been given chances that much lesser batsmen got, he sure have would have settled as a first choice opener for all the three formats. Don't know why selectors are impatient on certain players while give others chance forever hoping for them to succeed desperately. `can't ever forgive the selectors for the way they handled poor Badri, giving him mere three test innings and dropping him despite him scoring a 50 in one of them. In India, it needs more than talent to earn your chances...

Last ODI with Bangla Desh
by omprakash phadnis on Jun 23, 2015 08:13 PM  | Hide replies

All Indian players and coaches along with board people will talk to bangladesh counterparts and some few crores will be given to Bangla team to lose the third ODI so that the face is saved for Dhoni's Indian team. Then once Indian team wins, it will be flash news in India saying that we were not favoured earlier due to atmospheric conditions but now we are ready....
