BCCI could have rather used this tour to rest seniors and test youngsters like Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson, Yajuvendra Chahal, Sandeep Sharma etc. to improve bench strength. Moreover calling a tour off due to broadcasting issues is just idiotic. Broadcasting has to be there Cricket. Cricket is not there just for broadcasting.
Just have a look at the performance of various teams. Bangaladesh has been continuously improving whereas we have stagnated at a level I guess. With such MOST TALENTED (BUT USELESS) PLAYERS, more matches are lost than won.
I guess now we can call teams like Afghan, Ireland, Scotland and UAE minnows and our team, with consistently sliding performance, may be placed among these teams and BCCI must consider matches with these teams now. If we play other teams, we are tend to lose and create history for players of other teams, including Bangaladesh.
It is a surprise that BCCI has called off the Zimbabwe tour.It is high team our selectors become manly to drop all big guns and select our younger players and send them to Zimbabwe.It will not be a shame if we lose with this young team as we have also been loosing with our super highly paid stalwarts including our bla bla Cricket Director the great Mumbaikar Ravi Shastriji
