It was really sad to see lack of awareness even in commentators comprising the former test players wrt laws governing follow on. All commentators were counting 200 runs, while in fact for each day washed out the follow on limit stands reduced by 50 runs. In 1971 series against West Indies Ajit Wadekar had enforced follow on in test with less than 200 runs margin.. a pip in the History would provide the correct ref..

even in 1971 sobers did not know that...when sobers thought that wi side had saved the follow on with the margin of lead getting less than 200 he told wadekar that he had declared the innings closed whereupon wadekar turned and told him ''fine, i enforce the follow-on''...a stunned garfield sobers consulted with the umpires who told him that wadekar was correct!
planning such test match venue? if we look at some other towns in CHANGLADESH where ICC test playgrounds are CHITGAON is there same amount of rain to permit on 185 overs in all 5 days when 450 overs are possible maximum
