I have no doubt in my mind that Dravid will do a fantastic job given his brilliance in mentoring good talent in the domestic and Under-19 cricket. He is a no nonsense and apolitical cricketer with his head right on his shoulder. He does not have an ego as far as interacting with other cricketers are concerned.
In course of time, I wish to see him as a Coach for the Indian Senior Team when the young talent nurtured by him joins the rank.
For the first time it seems like the BCCI is serious about valuing the fundamentals. The new IPL brand of cricket where technique find herself in no mans land, this new appointment of the respected, proven and technically sound player like Rahul Dravid will sure make the difference
Like GR Vishwanath, S Venkatagraghvan, EAS Prassana, Salim Durrani, Syed Kirmani, Roger Binny andd gew others...............Rahul Dravid means...a good name in cricket field an off the cricket field. Now, these youngster under him must obey and apply his thoughts, views and finer points....and not behave like punters and romeos.... If they do...Rahul dravid will himself quit this important assignments......
A technical right move to appoint technical sound batsmen and alround cricketer to groom budding cricketers. It will also for them in platter hungerness to perform and humbleness to imbibe which will be lethal combination. Well done BCCI..!!!
