India were lucky to win the close match which could have gone either way.But win is a win and will help India go with greater confidence in the next game.India needs to improve on all fronts, batting, bowling and fielding in that order. Conditions were tough at the start with Zim pacers making best use of it bowling unplayable deliveries. May be Indians could be excused it being the first match and they are new to the conditions. Murali Vijay and other mob will have to adapt and show better application for the next matches. However dropping anyone just after one match will not be fair. To the credit of Rayudu he showed terrific application adapting soon to play through the innings. Binny too played match winning supporting role with conditions becoming lot more easier although he arrived in a pressure situation. Bhajji did some brilliant catching but on the bowling front more is expected from the seasoned campaigner. But it was only the first match and we expect him to perk up for the remaining matches.
Indian team will continue to do better & best, even without Mr Dhoni, becus, the players are very talented and team comprises very nice all rounders. Media has given all credits to Dhoni which did nothing but capitalized others' performance in his name with NIL individual performance.
India would have lost this match but for the lack of nerves by zim players. The team selection and batting order was not right for the playing eleven.Fast bowlers gave away too many runs.Zim knows their strength by asking India to bat first.India has to improve performance.
rayudu scored a century outside Asia which dh0ni cudnt after palying for 12 years and more than 150innings... even kumble, agarkar, ratra too scored centuries outside ASIA... n rayudu did it under immense PRESSURE :)
