rules favouring batsman, bigger and better bats, minnows playing in world cup i think there is always chance for not only afridi anyone to better fastest 100 record. see it yourself...when was 200 being scored in 50 overs. in recent year it was done multiple times...even ashwin can score fastest now...all this UAE, afganistan ireland will help

Maybe in the earlier part of his career

Shahid Afridi was truly a Good hitter of the ball in his early days of his career, when he hit that Famous quickfire century vs Sri Lanka.

Only Sanath Jayasuriya and Romesh Kaluwitharana could score quickly at that point of Cricketing history.

Now we have AB De, Corey Anderson, Chris Gayle, Glen Maxwell, Ian Bell, Eoin Morgan and others who can slog and score faster than the other on the given day.

It will be a Record of sorts if Shahid Afridi can break this record at this point of his career.

This Afridi joker talks like a fool. He's not even 0.1 percent of ABD.. He now becameABudda, how could he ever imagine to break that record. All these Pakis issue extravagant statements, when in reality, they're nothing more than garbage..

AllPorkies are trash..

There is no technique in his hitting and he at times gets away but not always .In fact DeVeliers hitting is above even Viv who is considered to be best in the past .His improvisation is amazing and he can hit full muscle shots too

Please. Don't compare Sir Viv to AB......with placid track and average windies attack.....AB did that....not undermining his effort but Viv was in different league.

No way

De villiers is technically a sound batsman, Afridi is not even 10% of what De villiers is, so the batsmen who may break his record are Chris Gayle,Brendon Mcullum.
