India's ranking is closer to bottom than top

The credit goes to solely MSD and BCCI, disregarding the seniors and always playing more politics than serious cricket.

the credit goes to the seniors dravid laxman sachin bhajji zaheer alongwith sehwag gambhir...their 8-0 whitewash started all this...

those 8 losses have a lot to do in this changed ranking...

though one good thing is whitewashes have stopped since their departure from the team...

If they are the reason for this pathetic position that Indian cricket is in ,then you should credit them for taking India to No.1 position in test cricket and winning the World cup in 2011.

I guess India is only nation to be in top 3 teams in all three formats. So we can do it again.

India slipping to 7th position

Before Australian series, it was in 6th position and after the series loss, India slipped to 7th position. But from fourth to 7th position, difference in points is only 10 and from 4th to first really the difference is more. To my mind Pakistan, Newzealand, Srilanka and India are almost same as far as their performances are concerned recently. Australia, South Africa and England are doing well in test cricket.
