Absolutely ,the Indian bowling was simply atrocious bordering on club level like bowling.Gavaskar is normally very calm while giving his observation but was looking very angry and furious which by itself indicated how badly our bowlers must have bowled ! (Umesh Yadav’s spell of 45 runs in 3 overs was simply shocking and he should be sent back home to play domestic cricket ). But where do you get the new set of bowlers overnight ? All the top bowlers in the 1st class domestic circuit are known and Gavaskar should name them if he has the names because the current crop of the bowlers named by the selectors are supposed to be the best.The question is why is the bowling performance so bad and got bad to worse as the tour progressed from 1st to 4th Tests ?The logical explanation appears to be they lack stamina and get too tired to bowl the 2nd and subsequent spells with disciplined line and length. Due to that tiredness perhaps they stray in line and drift on to the pads and bowl short too which is easy pick for boundaries considering the speed of under 130. Further, during commentary someone was mentioning about our bowlers are mainly playing IPL and shorter versions of game . They don’t get to play enough domestic cricket and thus not used to long spells of bowling. This argument certainly has some merit and selectors must find ways of making our international Test bowlers play domestic cricket.
During the last 3 years, on overseas tour , our bowlers have consistently failed to take 20 wickets in match ! So even if you score 5000 runs you can't win !

Indian team should learn from Karnataka Ranji bowlers,they are consistently taking 20 wickets in every match they play VinayKumar has led his bowlers well, they won Ranji Championship last year , as well as the limited over version, they defeated even Rest of India(ROI), due to politics in selection, not even a single Karnataka bowler represented Indian bowling attack in Australia

hello hello, The same Vinay Kumar, Arvind all were taken to cleaners, when they were given a chance. Ranji trophy is different from Test Cricket
Our strike rate is too low though batsman got 100s for their credit (not for team). Our strike shall be improved drastically (take our strike throughout the series) before putting complete false on bowlers in the test matches.
