Person who doesn't have pace can't succeed in Australia, so binny is totally waste, he does not have technique also in batting. Yuvaraj / Irfan pathan is good choice for all rounder. Sehwag is in good form, so he needs to there as middle order or opening batsman.
Although there are few very players in the squad, it would be hard to defend the WC with the selected squad. India needs some experienced and hard hitting players like---
1. Yubraj Singh 2. Robin Uthappa 3. Gautam Gambhir 3. Yusuf Pathan/ Dinesh Kartik
and Blowers like- 1. Amit Mishra 2. Harbhajan singh
Barring Akshar Patel rest of the team is good & best among current lot .
How can anyone be selected based on the performance of IPL & that too straight in WC squad ?? How many 50 overs games did Akshar Patel played for Team India ?? Has he ever played on AUS / NZ pitches ?? Has anyone seen him scoring even one 50 in ODI's ?? Yuvraj / Vijay would have been better choice .
On AUS / NZ pitches India do need a medium pacer all rounder & not spinner all rounder. This at least justifies selection of Binny .
uv must be there...there is not well experienced players in team india squad......once again...selection based on north east south west...region base......dhoni favourites are there....but they not performing well.....let see what ways the camel goes.......
Sanju Samson would have been a better choice because he consistently scores runs and can also keep wickets. Rohit is an absolute flop; not even consistent on flat wickets.. he may be good for street club cricket... similarly, our bowlers must be taught to stick to basics and bowl accordingly... let us not given easy runs and when runs are dried up, the batsmen themselves would take risk and get out... I do not know what our bowling/batting/fielding coaches are doing ? are they paid for just being mere spectators ? or are our players not listening to coach / that amounts to indiscipline... if that is the case, such teams are never going to do anything better.... so, in such an event, you select anyone but the result would be same....
