Sir, 1st of all please give him a chanse in tringullar series at australia. if he did not perform well in this tournament, you can out him from world cup tournament
Another non-performing player is Shikhar Dhawan, and he should make way for either Murli Vijay or Robin Uthappa. Uthappa’s added advantage is that he is a WK too. However Murli Vijay has been in great form in AUS and he has scored runs at quick pace too. In Australia, batsmen will surely not be able to accelerate from first over itself as they do in India, and will have to settle in first few overs. Shikar Dhawan was good for the last couple of years but now opposition quick bowlers seem to have figured out his weakness. So choice of openers should be Rohit Sharma, Murli Vijay and Robin Uthappa.
If our selectors do no pay heed to the dismal performances in Australia of some of the overhyped players who are also in the WC probables list, India will surely get knocked out of the WC at the Quarterfinal stage itself. BCCI Selectors should know that Express pace will not help India in limited overs cricket. Especially so this hopelessly club standard & wayward so-called pace attack (barring Ishant Sharma). While Bhuvaneshwar Kumar & Ishant are certain selection, there are atleast 2 places that should merit serious thought. While most teams will have atleast 1 left arm fast/ swing bowler, India this time will have none. Therefore 2 more experienced seam/ swing bowlers who have good record should be drafted. Without doubt, these 2 are PRAVEEN KUMAR AND ASHISH NEHRA. Praveen has been bowling exceedingly well recently in domestic matches recently and had match figures of 46-25-59-6. Even against modest opposition this is controlled & highly economical bowling. The other slot should go to Nehra who generated swing and pace in T20 matches whenever he go an opportunity. The only liability with him is his fielding. If not Nehra, then the selectors should opt for Mohit Sharma. The fifth pace bowler, if the selectors opt for one, could be either Umesh Yadav or Shami.
Yuvi in 15 squad list... I ve already booked Qtr, semi and final tickets.. See you all, hope we will repeat same feat like in 2011.. All the best in advance
Both are in tremendous form in ranji trophy...any day they are the match winners for india in any format..deadly Duo ..pls bring them back...may be there last world cup...true legends
Yuvraj, Gambhir and Harbhajan are must for WC... they are true match winners... Harbhajan can easily add 20 - 40 runs if needed and bowl with below 4 economy... Gambhir & Yuvraj are 2 most reliable batsmen we have (among playing players), they can play and bat well in any situation , any condition..... they have good skills for 1 day format....
