I read the message and wondered why Dhoni suddenly decided to quit midway. It was actually BCCI which made the announcement.

Well said. No cricketer makes the announcement directly that BCCI has sacked them.. The situation is of course different when they retire by their own decision...

Unlike Dhoni, Shastri is a BRAHMIN.
Tell Shastri/Brahmins to take their Caste share of Land and go build their Own Nation. They're less than 1% in India..Leeches Cannot Live Independently;

Gas Box
by bhurre singh on Jan 05, 2015 05:37 PM  | Hide replies

Shastri is nothing but a gas box. Talks ten to the dozen but India have lost two tests under him and managed to draw one. He has not brought any fresh thought to the team. Just a loud-mouth show -off. Dhoni is far far superior to him. He is agentleman and if India had a chance of drawing the series, that is if India were down 1-2 and if there was a chance of squaring the series, he would not have left half-way. Actually, the correct comment has come from none other than Rahul Dravid, who said that Dhoni would never have left the team half way if there was even a 0.1% chance of equalising. But Shastri deserves no credit either for the series performance or for Dhoni. !!!

Shastri... A diplomatic person as usual.... and why is he so keen to put things in perspective he feels to be the best. Let Dhoni speak, don't think he cannot do that.

I hope he had quit T20 or atleast IPL.
His decision doesn't bring any glory to him nor dispels the dark clouds gathering over him.

Dhoni Timing is Perfect
by joe britto on Jan 05, 2015 10:48 AM

Dhoni has immense knowledge of Cricket and he always acted on 6th sense and tried new tactics most of which suceeded. In fact he took India to No 1position in all 3 formats a feat difficult to imagine in future.It was unfortunate that a greta Captain Like Mansurr Ali Khan Pataudi was not invited to contribute more than he did after he retired . Dhoni 's talents and knowledge must be utilised for the good of Indian Cricket.
