Rohit and Dhawan have been misfits both for tests and overseas conditions, so why not give Rahul a second chance. After all greats like Gambhir didn't score until 20th test match. Axar may be good in T20 matches but hardly has experience in tests, but may still be useful instead of Aaron who is just spraying the ball. Here is the team Vijay Rahul KL Raina instead of Pujara (he is terrible form for 1 year and low in confidence) Virat K Ashwin Wridhiman Saha Umesh Y Ishant Karan S
As per the experts India is strong in batting and weak in bowling, but the final selection of the team is just the opposite (at least appears to be). We reinforce the team with 7 batsmen and 4 bowlers, when it actually should be 6 batsmen and 5 bowlers. Does that mean our batting is only stronger on paper?

Ha ha .Scored a pair of ducks in debut, not due to good ball but shot selection.Any day Raina is better as exceptional fielder and much better batsman.there was a time when he was expected to be future Indian captain

Rahul is another Uthappa and Vinay Kumar.. Excellent in domestic matches useless in International matches..
Raina is a gutsy cricketer and I am sure he will succeed in Test cricket, whereas I do not think Rohit Sharma will succeed. He may be talented but he lacks self confidence.

On the contrary, Rohit has over confidence, especially after his two and a half tons in a one day match.
When I read cooments here, I find most people have little knowledge of cricket. How easily they get annoyed with failure of some class batsman.Pujara, K L Rahul are players who have the ability to play test match cricket.Persist with them. Players like Raina, Rohit, Dhawan are good ODI,T 20 players but test match is different ball game. Axar can be tried, no doubt.
What happened to this guy, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar? He was getting ready to get selected for the 3rd test match and now there is no talk about him in the playing XI. Has he got injured once again? He would have been a tremendous advantage to India under helpful conditions.
Virat Kohli certainly has a positive and fresh mind .With Ravi Shastri as a mentor and good for nothing chief coach India should do well in the final Test against Aussies.Pujara and Dhawan have not done well playing abroad.Rahane as the opening batsman and Raina as the middle order with Axar Patel and Ashwin as all rounders should be an ideal combination for the limited overs cricket.A Test match is all together a different ball game. All the best to Team India in the final Test and the first of the year 2015.Happy New Year.
