basically, they are likely to collude and win/loose this next game so that they can get to play Semi-Finals in their respective home grounds i.e., Sydney and Auckland respectively.
They don't care, as much, who they would meet in their Semi's but they care that they don't play in their home grounds - the QFs and Semis.
Generally, they have self-belief they will win the QFs to proceed forward.
