Hard work

To retain top position for self is certainly harder than to let the country remain on Top. Mr. Tendulkar is a personified example how the game can be misused to make one's career more important than the pride of Country. Records earned by manipulations, favouritism and compromising the stake of Country do not earn respect.

Very true, earning thousands of crores and a Bharat Ratna to boot! What a contrast. Talks of sacrifice for the country. Where is the sacrifice/ If not cricketer how he would have earned?

To Maintain your Records, you had to Definitely work hard.

Now unfortunately the Newer Generation might eclipse your Batting records unfortunately for your liking.
