The Dhonitude!
by Sasidharan Nair on Feb 16, 2015 09:02 AM  | Hide replies

Indian win over Pakistan is really heartening; No doubt! But Dhoni should not take it for attacking the critics. For, the people of India have every right to question when Indian team fares badly. We contribute to their riches; their comforts! A critical analysis of Indian team's performance hitherto will reveal that our team has the adaptability of one step forward and two backward! This time too, how could we say it otherwise? Dhoni, you are not the Lord of Indian Cricket; don't take things for granted that everything you say, you gesture would be accepted without rebukes! If you fail to perform in next game, we are very alive to bash you in the strongest tongue! You have no choice, the richest ever captain of Indian cricketing times! If you fail to deliver, you become nut! Take things only that way!!!! India's win was the result of the prayers of 1.25 billion throbbing hearts, which made the team well played on the day; and not that you alone made it work!!!

they do not pray on the days that india lose?

Today during commentary when Pakistan was on the verge of yet another defeat:

Harsha Bhogle to Sourav Ganguly:
"What was the difference between India and Pakistan today?"

Sourav Ganguly:
"India's ability to handle pressure."

Harsha Bhogle:
"Why do you think India can handle pressure better than Pakistan?"

Sourav Ganguly:
"The reason is simple. It's because of MS DHONI. It's because of his leadership in big matches which helps the Indian team to calm down in pressure situation."

Lets Dhoni bats well along with his follower Jadeja
by surya das on Feb 16, 2015 07:53 AM

Infact Jadeja is an useless at no 6 spot, we won last WC due that crucial spot, where Yuvi comes at 5, then Dhoni follows at 6, where in this WC, Dhoni comes at 5 and Jadeja 6 (both are not in good form spoil this balance). Imagine, if you score like this in last 5 overs, then top teams like Aus, NZ and SA will bend you like badly.

Pak was a very weak team, lets face it.Every body around knew that Misbah and Afrida, bith around 40 made the team! Dhoni batted poorly and missed an easy runout chance. yes he took a few smart catches, credit to him for that.. regarding captaincy bowling raina before ashwin and jadeja was a joke, thanks he pulled it back after 1 over..and batting raina was an expected move knowing dhoni over the years ..and it makes ense as well.. left right combination .. the same move for which promoted himself over yuvi in 2011 worldcup..i cant understand how do people fail to see it.. 1 win and every thing seems rosy..its not/esp umesh yadav is a poor bowler..good teams will destroy him.. too wayward.. a wide an over.. he is like power play for 10 overs !!

Hold on captain drool

Pak was a joke. They have never been serious contenders to any title contenders in the recent past. On top of it, some of their chuckers and pretenders were taken down by ICC..

Yes, Captain Drool's boys lived up to the undue hype and sensation, but they've their task cut out if they are to be the champions again..

So, don't boast DhoniBhai, just move on..

Appreciate the Win
by C V Suresh Kumar on Feb 15, 2015 10:39 PM  | Hide replies

But the performance was not up to mark I guess. There were a lot of lapses while batting and bowling needs a lot of improvement to stay in contention of the WC. We could yet again see some sort of poor bowling today as well as lucky that we got wickets else we would have certainly lost the match. Not all the wickets were of any good wicket taking deliveries but due to poor shots by batsmen. We cannot expect same thing to happen against other teams like Aus, England or NZ when we come across these teams. So, happy that we won but needs a lot of improvement in all departments to stay in contention for the WC. Just look at the flawless performance of Aus in the first match. We expect something like that. Then you can say the way you said.

Yorker/s
by Ajay Singh Pantheon on Feb 15, 2015 10:18 PM

It seems that Indian pace - battery has forgotten to bowl or even try to bowl YORKER/s. We must remember that it is Yorker which makes Malinga - the most dangerous bowlers specially in death overs. When he can why not ours...

Dhoni's Team need to improve

Instead of Dhoni, Rahane might have better contributed. Dhoni, Jadeja and Rahane(under pressure) play disappointed.
