Part of game plan

Don't worry, all these incidents are added to the tournament to spice-up and get more PR. Its not that umpires don't know the rules. They are just contributing to the tournament PR (who care if it is ve or -ve). Lets enjoy the game including this additional masala.

How do you know that it was part of game? It is a human error, and not a masala. This is the mentality of most of us, when you watch too many masala movies in India. Get out of it.

Very disappointing and Poor umpiring
by aribam ramasanker on Feb 14, 2015 09:14 PM

The episode that ended the match shows the favor in whose side the significant decisions will be given in the WC. Once the lbw decision was reverse the field umpires and TV umpire should have allow to continue the match without any further reference to the other possibilities of ending the match. It was a desparate move by the organisers save their wrong lbw decision. Giving run on dead ball is nothing short double jeopardy to the defeated team.

Its not a wrong desicion

Its not a wrong decision. Imagine this scenario, 1 ball remaining and 1 run to win. Batsmen given lbw and they complete a run and on review its given not out. What happens then? Run is not counted? If its a dead ball then ball cannot be rebowled either as the ball is counted only decision is not out.

World Cup will be in Favour of Australia
by ROBIN SINGH on Feb 14, 2015 09:04 PM  | Hide replies

from this decision itself we can justify that definitly in world cup the decision will be in favour of ausies only. becoz those players dont play real cricket like WI or SA. Aussie players sleadge other team players and tempt them and give tension to the opponent team. and when we see most of decision while sleadging also will be in favour of Aussie only. so this time aussie will get the cup playing unfair games only. I think its better other countries can walk away from WC.

ROTFLMAO... Eng would have won by 10 wickets if none of their players were given out and they were given 250 overs to reach the total. Right? :-)

this was disappointing to say the least..the umpires must know better , also more flexibility should be given to the 3rd ump so he doesn't always behave like a bot in the box. (surely he must have the icc playing conditions somewhere with him)

umpiring descisions always controversial
by avinash on Feb 14, 2015 08:17 PM

Umpiring descisions are always controversial and umpires have a torrid time after giving a wrong descision. Players and umpires are effected all possible technology should be used in cricket game and players, officials should have a good understanding. commentators radio and television should maintain decency in criticism .
