When India started their Aus tour nearly 3 months ago they had every reason to be optimistic of defending the WC title with the benefit of acclimatization during the long drawn tour period to WC.India do have a young promising batting line up and for once they could boast of a pace attack with consistent 130-140 speed never any Indian side had earlier which were expected to be very effective in Australian bouncy conditions! But the reality struck sooner than later the way the Indian batsmen failed to adapt to the bouncy wickets and the Indian pace attack suffered injuries unable to cope with the conditions to come up with a consistent bowling attack. Although in Tests they did manage to score some runs and salvage some pride losing the series 2-0 thanks to flop show by bowlers but there was hope for India to bounce back in one dayers considered their strength and led by one of the best one day captains, Dhoni !But it was not to be with India losing all the matches in tri-series mostly with big margins and just managing to register their first win against minnows Afghanistan ! With this morale boosting win coming ahead of the all important WC opener against Pakistan it remains to be seen if India given their potential could leverage the long winded WC format to its advantage and make a serious bid to defend the trophy ?Dhoni’s biggest worry is his pace bowling attack facing injury problems who seem to lack ‘control’ over line and length.
IT IS NOT EASY TO PLAY IN AUS/ NZ IN THERE CONDITION YUVI HAS EXPERIENCE AND TEMPERMANT TO PLAY IN THIS CONDITION WHAT IN THE MIND OF SELECTOR CANNOT SAY BUT I AM SURE THAT AFTER WORLD CUP NO JADEJA NO AXAR NO BINNY IN THE TEAM IT IS MY WORD GAVASKAR GANGULY ARE TELLING TO MEDIA THAT INDIA HAS CHANCE TO WIN BOSS KHA HE CHANCE KAUN KHELEGA YE TO BATAO KAUN BOWLING DALEGA

. When we systematically discard Munaf, Praveen and Irfan, who are really suitable to Australian conditions, then from where we will find bowler? .
BAN cricket in India; IPL is being used by Ambani/Srinivasan to convert black money; BCCI is paying just 0.002% Income tax on $1 billion income per year;
OUR RECORD WILL BREAK THIS WORLD CUP INDIA CANNOT BEAT PAKISTAN BECAUSE OF B GRADE TEAM NO YUVI NO WORLD CUP IT IS CHENNAI EXPRESS TEAM LEAD BY DHONI NO MATTER HOW JADEJA BINNY PLAYED IN THE WARM MATCH AXAR IS NEW FOR THIS SITUATION YUVI EXPERIENCES OF PLAYING IN AUSTRALIA HARD HITTING THERE IS NO LEFT ARM SPACER NEHRA OR PATHAN MUST BE THERE

I agree with the team proposed but Kumar is not fully fit and so Mohit can find a place in place of Kumar Key for success is Kohli should get into form as well Dhoni

Big problem with Raina in team is that he is absolutely failing in all departments of the game. Yuvi in that position was awesome in last worldup. But now when india looses Virat 6 Rohit, it is game over.

by any chance Kumar is not fully fit then Yuvraj can be roped in instead of Dhawal kulkarni as he (yuvraj)can be fitted as alrounder
Irrespctive of first wicket fall, Kohli should step in as it is his favourite spot or if the team wants some other players to bat at no. 3 either Rayudu or so then let them decide at the first instance. You cannot shield the best batsman and if that is the case he is not the best batsman. What will be the mental drama of other players also we should reflect and think as rightly pointed out in the article
