Yes that's correct. It only matters to perform in the finals, doesn't matter if he is the only person to score 500 runs in 2 world Cups, or he scored 50s in the Semi Finals that India played or he was the Man of the Tournament in 2003 or he was the Highest scorer for India in 2011 world Cup scoring 50s in Quarter and Semi-final. The only thing is he didn't perform in the Finals. You only need players who can perform in the finals, other matches like Quarter Semi-Finals and are totally irrelevant.
thinKIng of defeat even before playing a match! why dont the indians just get on plane ..dont play any match at all. that is also good idea. because they can then watch the matches from their own living room.fantastic ya.AR

The BCCI=IPL has thrashed the game and was only money oriented add the corruption in BCCI and Associations .Being in Hyderabad for some years I read about Moin-hd-Daula cup gold was stolen and the guys are big men of the association vying to be president

what a non sense attitude of admitting defeat before playing honest game that is why BHARAT RATNA ATAL BIHARI VAJPEYI had to request SACHIN to not to throw his wicket as he was told by PM SIR to play till last ball of game in 2003 however after winning man of series trophy SACHIN fall pray to AUSTRALIAN attack india lost match
