Currently, based on past data, India does not seem to have done anything of note to inspire any confidence that they can hold onto the cup. Getting past the league stage should not be an issue but getting past the quarter finals might. Any one among India, Pakistan, West Indies, Sri Lanka and England could make the 4th semi finalist. The other three would be Australia and New Zealand due to sheer home advantage and South Africa based on recent form.
it's obvious, the tops four teams that will go to qf from each group.Thereafter,it requires just three good days for any team to emerge as winners. Australia, South Africa and New Zealand are the top contenders in that order.

ENGLAND will be better perform this world cup so also SOUTH AFRICA so it is SOUTH AFRICA, ENGLAND, NEW ZEALAND try their best efferts to reach finals as these 3 teams are playing this game for decades but fail to win so my bet is HASHIM AMLA man of series winning world cup for SA
In Last World Cup we had Zaheer, Munaf, Asish almost three were in form. After 4 years still we don't have a good bowler in good form and not with injuries. What the BCCI is doing all these days??It's easy to blame players but much of the work should be done to safe guard the players and even we have to nurture their bowling talent. In India its very tough to sustain as a bowler especially a Pace bowler. Now there is very clear to all our bowling strength and commenting on players. It should not be done

With all the politics going on behind scenes from BCCI and the likes of KSrinivasan and the selectors of BCCI playing favoritism etc, its difficult for any one to have a career now in cricket in india, with so much blame going to unsteadiness of what might happen anytime, why would any sportsman put their life !! Possibly someone has to prove himself rising from the ashes consistently remaining in form making big hits next 10 years or so consistently, similar in the likes of Tendulkar and get over the politics and focus on cricket alone rather, to be able to succeed....for which a lot of dedication and sacrifice is required given the corruption/bureaucracy in india...
if ishant, bhuvi and any other unfit players are thrown out immediately and replaced with fit players, then we can give tough competition. lets not get into whether we will win or lose. lets talk about how we can stay in contention by giving our best till the 100th over.rest will take care of itself

Yep each player has to contribute as a team in the bowling department as now it is considered as a Weak. Hope it will be done by our bowlers :)
