Of course , why not ?? Harbhajan must be selected . Definately performance should be the criteria for selection . Age is just a number .
Team should always have correct blend of young & experience players . A team of only young players cannot win matches for the country , experience always matters .
What is the use of only young players ie below 25 , if they are not performing ??
Then so many International Players like Graeme Smith, Graeme Swann, Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott, Mitchell Johnson, Shane Watson, Ryan Harris, Kumara Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardena, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Gautam Gambhir etc etc etc - Would still be Playing for their Respective Nations until they became 40 Years based on their Records and Past Performances - Only upon Reaching close to their 40th Year they would have attained Retirement or been Kicked out of their Cricket Boards respectively.
Not many players can play after a certain Age due to frequent injuries, Lack of form or fitness, Team Politics, Selection Politics, Zone politics, Losing Reflex time and not reacting properly to the situation, Other Medical problems, Family issues, etc etc etc.
So The Cricketers cannot expect to be picked always just because they had a very good record in the past.
Also the Players themselves cannot Dictate terms to the Selection committee and neither can they Bribe Selectors like how Abhijit Kale tried to do to get into the team by force.

My friend he was the best spinner in the home series against SA. on sheer performance he would have been selected but As usual politics is too much.. even yuvraj singh shd have been in ODIs for sure as raina has failed miserably, Australia not a place to experiment..
