No team should have any complains on any pitch. Pitches common for both teams. Did India play on different pitch and SA in another pitch? No!! Our players played well and we won.
Same thing goes when India travel overseas. If it is fast paced, bouncy and seaming, we have to adopt to that condition. These complaints should stop from all teams. Probably ICC should start fining teams that complains.
very well said...if the pitch spins from day one is bad then so is the one that seams from day one...
and if they want to say that there is nothing wrong with the pitch where fast bowlers bounce and seam out sides in 1.5 or 2 sessions then there is nothing wrong in the pitch where spinners spin out the opposition in a couple of sessions...
if match gets over in 3 days in india it is bad and if it gets over in sa eng or aus in 3 days it is good! double standards...
Chapell is right here. Nobody uttered a word when ashes finished in 3 days, Tests in Australia finished in 3 days but everybody starts to bark when, once in a blue moon a rare Test Match gets finished in 3 days in India. It's not surprising that SA players are traditionally weak against quality spin bowling & let's give our spinners the due credit. I have not seen the better performance by Indian Spinners than this, after Kumble's retirement. Having said that India will have to prepare themselves for pitches like Adelaide when they are going for Australia tour in Jan-16, they can't make any excuse for seamer friendly tracks or grass on the pitch.
The pitches that turn on 1st day should be considered bad compared to the pitches that seam 1st day for the simple reason that The seaming pitches atleast give chance to spinners on 4th and 5th day. But here the seamers have no chance. As the match progresses it becomes worst for seamers. But usually this does not happen on seaming pitches.
If Pitches Favour Home Teams (Pace, Swing, Bounce, Batsman Friendly or Spinner oriented) then it means that There is No Specific Guideline or Standard to Prepare a Wicket as per ICC standards - The Home team will Play according to their Strengths & skill.
In the case of Hockey, Football, Formula 1,Tennis, Chess, Volleyball, Baseball & Basketball (Lots of Other sports as well) There is No Issue - Since they cannot Blame the Conditions, Weather, Wicket and other parameters, as it will be the same almost everywhere.
If the Team cannot perform and Win on merit, they will look to transfer the blame on others except themselves.
