Cricket matches between India and Pakistan is never about cricket alone. If the PCB is desperate for Indians to play and for the sake of money only, they should have no problem in playing in Sri Lanka. Kudos to Mohammad Yusuf for being clear and blunt in his assessment. The approach of Pakistan players in these matches always carries ghosts on Partition and ill advised basis of religion for it. They always approach it like it is a battle on the field of war.And the basis is always Ismal is in danger and Allakho akbar whenever pakistan wins. It is only for the sake of the money that PCB is desperate for IPL to allow Pakistani players for the auctions. By now OCB should realise that recourse to litigation will lead it nowhere. Bilatereal tours are JUST THAT - BILATERAL. In each others countries.Neutral venues will never and should never be accepted as part of bilateral series/tour. Can one forgetthe test match in Pakistan when the Indian team had to go back to hotel after coming to the ground on the second day of the test match because pakistan govt was honouring some anti-indian militants?
Cricket is a game and we play any game for enjoyment. We can not enjoy the cricket game between India and Pakistan while terrorists from Pakistan attacks in Kashmir and our military persons are being killed, how we can enjoy the game cricket
I completely agree with Yousuf. He has called a spade a spade. I fail to understand why cricket series between Indo-Pak is considered like the demolishing of the Berlin wall. Both the countries are doing quite well without playing each other. As a nation if we don't want to play another nation that is our right. Whats the big deal if India does not play Pakistan? Are heavens going to fall? Certainly not, then why this hype around play or not to play.
Cricket is all about entertainment.Entainment can only be enjoyed in a peaceful condition.Such an ambivlence of distrubed peace and forcefully engrossing public in entertinment is really unworthy and uncalled for. So we want no cricket diplomacy until and unless the peace is restored across the border.
I totally accept the honest comments made by Yusuf and Maindad, albeit first time.
Some News channels in India are being paid by PCB sympathizers/laisiaion guys sitting in Delhi doing pairvi for the matches to take place. As Gaurav said on India Today News Room y'day and respectful ex defence personnel that Terror and Cricket cannot go together.
