The diminutive Mumbai lad Ajinkya Rahane, apart from being a world class middle order batsman, also happens to be an excellent close-in fielder. He holds the record of eight catches in an innings, and in every Test, his catching has enabled his team to restrict opponents to a manageable total. He is adept at adjusting his game to suit the needs of his side in other formats of the game too, like the ODIs and the T-20s. To a larger extent, his style of batting resembles that of another Indian middle order great, the late Dileep Sardesai.
