Rohit's Failure- Gavaskar's suggestion
by sunil mathews on Dec 06, 2015 09:06 AM

Failure of Rohit Sharma is not a new thing. He has been failing all the while in his test career. What he needs is a good break and some time away from the media hypes, to strengthen his talent. People like Gavaskar has been al the while saying he is talented, talent does n't come from saying. you have to demonstrate it. If he is not able to perform, let others take his place. Is he so indispensable to the Indian cricket, where Batsmen are waiting in the line to get a chance. Regarding Gavaskars comment, friends tell me who cares for his opportunist comments these days. When Jadeja was playing in the domestic circuit and getting plenty of wickets in turn friendly pitches for Saurashtra, he criticised the making of tailor made pitches, which ended the matches in just 3 days. Now when Indian team is doing the same thing against SA, he says the batsman needs to apply .. it is not the pitches... Great man...

Rohit;s failure

Certainly there can be some players always to replace. It could have been better to play Gurukeetsingh in the fourth test as he is an alrounder and good middle order bat

4-5 years down the line

We will still be hearing about how talented Rohit Sharma is and will prove it one day (not in ODI!, like we have been for the last few years.

Having said that, as long as Kangi Rajeev Shukla uncle (he realy is an uncle!) is there we will have to tolerate Rohit and is so called talent.

In the ;ast test Amit Mishra showed more talent, guts and grit than Rohit Sharma.

I just wish we had given as many chances to Sehwag and Dravid as we have to Rohit and india would not have lost so many overseas series.

Let anybody replace Rohit

Your place is on the merit. Rohit has been given chance. Let any other player can replace him in the playing eleven. Worst thing will happen first ball duck ? That is not much different from what we have seen Rohit's last four innings. Perform or perish. Why shewag retired from Test cricket?
