Wait till 7th December

It would be advisable if Ashwin and other spinners restrict their rebuttals until the oncoming 4th Test is over.

Pitching on pitches
by Raman Krishnaswamy on Dec 02, 2015 09:41 PM

The following observation made by Mr. Gideon Haigh, the well known Cricket Commentator Shouls settle the issue :
“No cricketer is so dependent on the turf on which the game is played as the spinner; it can make, break, enfang or defang him.”

hi

it is pure nonsense if the pitch assists fast bowling or seaming from day one...such a pitch should be banned...

there should be something both for the batsmen and bowlers...but if matches are going to end in 3 days like the dn test in aus..it is bad for cricket...aussie should do something about it...they are already proven to be tigers at home and lambs abroad...getting whitewashed when they play abroad...

they should stop making green tops...and prepare turners which should improve their technique...at least they should consider making pitches where they do not assist the fast bowlers from day one....and have something in it for the batsmen also...otherwise they are just ruining the game of cricket....

ICC
by mohan singh on Dec 02, 2015 12:59 PM

The decision of ICC for the indian pitches specially if it happens to spinner friendly is discriminatory because there were two matches being played one at Adelaide Australia and that was also ended within 3 days and another at Nagpur, but only Nagpur pitch is questioned??? why?? Because we Indian always think the pitch should always support pace bowler and only after 3rd day to spinner why???

Double Standards
by sumedh shanbhag on Dec 02, 2015 11:36 AM

If Indians lose a match within 3 days in foreign conditions, it's due to the skill of the opposition bowlers and inadequacy of the Indian batsmen.

But if the foreign players suffer humiliating defeats under 3 days in India, it's not the inadequacy of their batsmen's techniques, but the pitch is to blame.

A test match is called a "test" match as it tests your techniques in trying conditions. A fast track can be physically dangerous, but a spin friendly track will always test your staying skills without having to bother about getting injured.

home advantage
by azeem shemna on Dec 02, 2015 11:16 AM  | Hide replies

If this king of Home Advantage would have been provided to bowlers like Anil Kumble and HArbhajan singh then they would have been holding the world records by now. AK and HS never had to rely on such pitches. Look at the figures of Ashwin, they are pathetic outside India. And the less we talk of R. Jadeja is better. Ravi Shastri is the same guy who was lamenting on the home conditions when India was getting thashed in Australia and England. And now he is advocating these pitcehs. why, because his bread and butter is now coming from BCCI.

spinners performance

Let the Indian team management do some introspection, instead of shouting down others. Home advantage is different but it is a shame of cricket that we have played.

What about Adelaide?
by Raju Nair on Dec 02, 2015 09:48 AM  | Hide replies

Day night Match test between Australia and New Zealand @ Adelaide saw 12 pitches down on day 1 with a score of less than 240.

Is it ok??

Also pitches like WACA where team scores lot of runs as byes thanks to its bounce is it Ok.

Green top wickets in New Zealand and England is fine but spin friendly track is No No.
