Great competitiveness shown by both sides in SSC Test.

I loved the exchanges of frayed tempers by the quickies of both sides Ishant Sharma and Dhamika
Prasad. There could be no better sight than this altercations which indicate the purity of the temperament of players of both sides. The more they do it, be sure, they are playing with passion and hunger for victory. Test cricket is dying. This sudden competitiveness will certainly draw crowds. Think of the big frame of Ishant Sharma used to throwing stuff at more than 145 Ks being challenged by his opposite numbers who were desperately trying to prune up the Indian batting in order to restrict them to reasonable total for winning. Their captain Angelo Mathews won the toss and provided his quickies the opportunity of making the first use of the turf. But he indomitable Cheteshwar Pujara singlehandedly thwarted the move with this rock-solid innings of 145. And Ishant then ripped through the top orders of SL batting. SL caught in the trap laid out by them. Now they were trying to frustrate Ishant. They forgot, for batsmen, the game can just one ball but for bowlers, it is overs after overs. Angelo Mathews should now charge Prasad, why he went after Ishant, who again showed fire and reduced SL to 67/3. The whole Sri Lankan team might be cursing Prasad for picking up the wrong Indian guy for gamesmanship. I loved the competitiveness, but sympathize with SL for being so naive and facing the most certain 2-1 defeat after taking the lead in Galle. Ha ha ha!!

Sri Lankan Players need to mend their behaviour
by haya vada na on Aug 31, 2015 07:57 PM

We have found in the past and now in present that all oversea teams are highly indisciplined and Paki is not exception . Of late the these lankans also showed thier colour. We have how nastily the ausis behaved during Indian visit. Our media should excercise restrain when ever they come to india and unnecessary scope for them should not be given

Come on, it's silly on the part of both players. They are international players but their on-field behavior was childish.

Ishant needs to control his emotions. The way he reacted slapping his face repeatedly after claiming Chandimal raises serious question on his mental condition. He looks more like a psycopath with untidy hair, unshaven & dangling charms around his rather unshapely neck. The Lankans are no angels but should be beaten on field than acting insane.
